Gravel Grinder # 4 will be Sunday, December 14....7:30 Alpha Starbucks.

We will try the Trans Canada Trail again , in the area of
Shawnigan Lake, Kinsol Tresel,Lake Cowichan .

Depending on who is interested and the general consensus we have a choice of

1.We leave about 7:30 and take 8:40 am ferry from Brentwood Bay,
Ride,walk,drink coffee for 60 to 100 easy gravel KM's.
Back to Mill Bay for 1:50 3:00 or 4:10 ferry. Ride home from BB.
( of course you could cut out 20 to 40 km by driving to Brentwood Bay.)

2.Drive to Shawnigan area, approximately same route, drive back.

What do you think? No MALAHAT, no 3 hrs of lugging your bike. Minimal SUFFERING.

Hoping to do this. I might even be able to supply a car with rack to get 3 of us over the Malahat. If it's raining hard I won't go. If it's raining lightly, I'll have a strong preference for driving to the start.
