It was muddy...
Special thanks to Patrick Burnham (palleus) for the photos. He's at every COTR race taking awesome photos. And Lister for the dads' photo.

Looks like you had fun. Great to see that the club was well represented again.

Truly epic...thanks Geoff W (again) for the cold beer post race.
For the 2nd week in a row (or 6 days later, to be precise), the cyclocross gods smirked on the over-40's, and after a bright and balmy set of races for the beginner categories, the skies opened up and rained down on the Masters and Elites, turning a tricky, soggy, boggy farm into a tire-sucking, body-coating, turn-defying mudpit.
In other words, it was perfect.
Jim's landing spot and facial expression say it all!
Next Cross on the Rocks is November 2, right here in Victoria / Langford, at the funnest venue of all- Western Speedway. Last year it featured a beer garden...All I'm sayin'...

Hugh looks decidely less muddy in the first picture - clear evidence that he really needs to review Rule #5.
Great work guys and girls!

Some great shots for sure. Wish I was there, but the hockey gods were calling and it was dryer in the rink.

Clearly I am not putting in the required effort, miles or mud to respect rule number 5.
