What happened to our exec conversation with the Oak Bay PD about our 2-up riding that we got into trouble for a few Sundays ago?

It's my opinion that we should not have that conversation. The status quo works for the most part - police ride two-up during their charity rides and they let us do the same, with a few (in the case of that Sunday ride) understandable exceptions.
Let's leave it be.

Agreed...which is why we did not pursue a conversation with the OBP. My sense of things is that the police are generally happy to turn a blind eye to 2-up riding so long as we don't give them a reason to do otherwise.Let's leave it be.
They do have to respond to citizen complaints however, and my guess is that may have been what the officer was doing two Sundays back: someobody complains about us riding 2-up, the police respond and tell us to single up, we do so, and they can then truthfully report back that the complaint has been dealt with.
