Hey TripleShot Cycling,
My name is Brian Anderson and I am seriously thinking about joining your club. I wanted to ask if it's possible to come out to a ride (or two) to check it out before getting insurance and a membership? The club I used to ride with was pretty casual and didn't require insurance.
Also, are your weekday rides still Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings?
Thanks very much,
Brian

Hi Brian,
I was a prospective member for a few rides this spring until signing up for good. Money well spent if you just get a citizen licence (a few $ less then the full version). Also don't forget about the Thursday team time trial ride, 6am at Uvic. After a few rides it will seem like home.

...and to answer your specific question,
Yes. You're very welcome to ride with the club a couple of times before we ask that you join.
Tuesday, sprints on the UVic box
Wednesday, hills
Thursday, TTT practices on Ring Road
Friday, waterfront ride, as tough as you want to make it (just pick the right group for you)
Sunday, generally social ride, waterfront extending to Island View/Saanichton and back West Saanich.
Those are the sanctioned rides. There are any number of other outings amongst like-minded folks:
Saturdays are often Interesting, with members arranging an array of outings, such as:
Saturday Sufferfests tend to go early and very hard on the road.
Some Nutbars start early more moderately but then attach themselves to the OBB ride just to get some extra miles in for fun.
The Barton rides are loooooong, steady, and hella hilly, building through the summer to Fondo season.
The Queen of Pain cyclocross rides ("it ain't over until someone's bleeding") should be rolling more often now.
Gawd, I'm all homesick now.

Thanks very much for the info!
I will try and make it out Friday morning, if not, next week for sure.
