Tripleshot Cycling

What's that you say? It's the end of July and Tripleshot has yet to ride Goldstream Heights this summer? Totally unacceptable!

Come out and join us next Sunday, August 3rd, departing Alpha Street Starbucks at 6:00am.

Anyone else thinking of doing this ride? So far it looks like just me and Mark - which should make for an interesting "sprint" on the 20% climb over the last 300m.

In past years, I've heard people say that they'd be interested in doing it if it didn't take up the whole morning.

If that's a concern this year, one option would be to turn left at the SOUTH entrance to Shawnigan and head straight over to Goldstream Heights, before coming back out in the reverse direction. This would eliminate probably 1.5hrs from the usual route, which goes north to Mill Bay before turning left into Shawnigan and back along the east side of the lake before heading up to Goldstream Heights.

In for the whole shebang. As are Bill E and Dave S (a couple of guys that used to ride with us a lot)

This is a fantastic ride. Everyone shoud do it. Its well "divided" betweeen areas we work hard (Malahat, Goldstream Hts) and places we don't (Serious Coffee in Mill Bay etc). Very social and very fun. And if you are concerned about descending the Malahat - take the Mill Bay ferry - its like a bike 'n cruise morning!
