Saturday July 12, Something Really Special!

The plan: Coffee at Disco on Menzies near Michigan. Depart at 7 AM

Just a nice little warm up before the Big Loop on the 20th. There will be places to peel off early if and places to refuel. As usual, pay close attention to your fuel, nutrition, hydration. I would like to keep the pace rolling, not racing but moving along, so please don’t plan to eat at the top of hills. If you get to the top of hills before others, come back down. If you are the last one up the hill, just keep right on rolling and eat or drink as we hit the flat parts. There will be flat parts!
I/We! (I hope I have some company!) will head out to Metchosin dipsy doodly around Duke Pt Rd (L off of Metchosin) and go up Liberty off of Rocky Pt cross Kangaroo and climb Lindholm then

R on Gillespie
R on Kangaroo
L on Happy Valley
L up Neild to Zanita Heights
Find our way to Langford Parkway
Atkins to the Goose just before Thetis
Burnside Prospect Munn
R on Willis L on Wallace
R on W Saanich to Newton Heights
L off of NH at Thompson Place then L on E Saanich
L on Barrett up to the end of the road at John Dean Park
Down Dean Park Rd and R on E Saanich,
R on Wallace R on Mt Newton L on W Saanich (the map incorrectly shows us turning r off of W Saanich before Brentwood Bay)
R on Wallace onto W Saanich then L on Sparton and find our way back to W Saanich
R on W Saanich
L on Interurban
R on Goward
L on Prospect to Burnside then find the Goose off of Burnside just past Wilkinson then coffee.
Or Alternatively, beer at Spinakers?
