Hi Martin,

Just when I was getting excited for my first VCL race, I remembered that I am having the School Bike League Executive at my home for supper. Bummer. Next week!

Lister: I mean bummer that I can't race, not bummer that I have to eat dinner with you!

I can race this one too! I'll be available to join the ride out if anyone is doing that. (I dont even know where we are going)

Anymore TS'ers that are thinking about their first race, or first race in a while or such, should come on out while the weather is nice and sign up for the C race.

Of course it would be most awesome, for me and Martin, to have more comrades in the B race to draft off of.

I know there will be some club members racing A (wearing other kit often) so Im excited to be cheering them on too.

The rest of the club also should know that they have an open invitation to fill the roll of enthusiastic spectator. Bring the kids - they might get to see some blood. Kids love that.

Switch Bridge 5:15?

Looks like we can take the Goose pretty much all the way there. It's slightly further than getting to the Speedway. Anyone driving needs to park at Luxton Fairgrounds and ride from there.

Is the race format the same as Western Speedway (i.e. 20 minutes, then 5 laps?)

You are looking at a longer race with Latoria. Usually a dozen or more laps for the Bs, anywhere up to 20 or so for the A races. You can count on the race being at least 30 mins for the Bs, but around 40 minutes typically, with the As usually clocking in around 50-55 minutes. It's an awesome course, and is worth giving it a shot in spite of any trepidation caused by the added length of the race.
