its time. yup, what you've all been waiting for. Lets do this TTT thing for real! The TT rock star organizers of Sidney Velo are letting us not only add a junior/para TT distance to the annual Duncan TT but they are ALSO letting us add a 20k TTT event! Fantastic!!!!! So lets get some teams together and then go do the ITT and then the TTT!!!

We also need 3 kind hearted souls to assist marshall. Any takers?

Let the excited chatter begin! BTW I hear there at least a couple of Ladies' teams....C'mon Juniors, Cmon Gents.... step up. post whose in to shame - I mean INSPIRE others to also get on board!

Peter

I'd be up for a 40s team. Don't have aero bars, and my handlebars are carbon so I don't think clip-ons are an option. Might be open to investing in proper aero bars if someone can give configuration advice. Also happy to use regular bars.

Ciao!

I've been talking this up with the youth team, and there's interest. Alan Boden, is your son interested?

My only hesitation is we are taking our daughter to California to a skateboard camp, so I can't be there. But I'm talking to Travis Chater of VAC Devo program about being there to help our kids race. Will post more as I know it.

There are tons of people riding Thursday ams who could do this.

Any word on the how the age calculation system works?

First the warm-up 40K ITT then the 20K TTT. There will be a lot of red lining in Cowichan. I'll be there and hoping to grind it out with some of the other Thursday morning crowd.

I'm in, only if Joe allows me to be part of his team. This is the kind of race that you want to partner with old, fast guys to optimize your chances of winning because let's face it, the handicap system was designed by crusty old fast guys so that they ensure they win, every time! Any other fast codgers interested? I'm thinking you gotta be at least 50 and as fast as Joe to apply to be part of 'our' team... I've got a couple sets of aero bars I can lend to the youth who need them, but only if they promise to ride slower than Joe...

I am in too. I'll make sure I show up rested. No riding 140 K the day before!

Alan;

I was interested, right up until I realized that you'd said "old fast guys" not "old fat guys".

Good luck keeping up with Joe.

Great to have you on-board Alan!!
At the Masters races recently there's been a lobby to add weight classifications.
Trying not to get caught out I've been uping my intake of croissants.
So far my output hasn't matched my intake which could be my downfall if weight classes catch-on.
I'll sign out before I run on.
Looking forward to Cowichan.
