It was a great night for Tripleshot. Roland set a PB (placing 5th) with Josh right behind him in 6th. Bigring Taylor knocked a whopping 37 seconds off his last time for a season's best performance. Your intrepid reporter was a bit slower than last week but still took top spot (and 10 more points towards the overall).

Last chance to TT is next week - and this might be your last chance to check out this great course ever as with the Airport Interchange going in next year it is unlikely we are going to have this course available after this season. On a side note I am starting to think conspiracy here! First the track and now the Sidney TT course - what did I do wrong that we are losing all the FLAT stuff we ride on!!!!!

Anyway next week why not give it a try? To give you a reference point last week's Lanterne Rouge completed the 18k with an average speed of 30.74 km/h. By comparison all of our rides lately have been edging close to or beyond 35 km/h for 40k (and that is with hills!). I am totally confident in saying that every single one of our club members could better that time...... so dont let fear stop you. It really is amazing what you can do on your own on this very forgiving course....

I agree with Peter (or course) that you should come out to the TT next week. It's a very different way to race. It exposes weakness (ask me) and strengths (talk to Peter) the way other formats can't. It's also a way to expand your perspective on riding, racing and even on what a roadbike is.

Hey! It turns out that despite being slow compared to all the B riders, 27:42 is a personal best, one second faster than my fastest time last year.

Always look on the bright side of life :D

Nice job with the report Peter. Perhaps you could forward it to the local papers - the Oak Bay News is always looking for local sports article. We should think of this for 2010. That is, write a short intro to the VCL and then follow up with weekly reports.
