Stolen bikes and auctioneers

For those who have lost a bike recently it might be worth checking out Kilshaw's Auctioneers on Fort Street. I was just there and there's probably 20 or so bikes (mostly mountain bikes but a few road bikes) on auction for tomorrow (Thursday) night. My first ever road bike, a Cannondale, was stolen a few years ago and a few months later I found it at Kilshaws just before it was about to go on the block. Seems the Victoria police turn over stolen bikes to be auctioned off every once in a while without actually checking if they'd been reported as stolen. (to the cops who ride with Tripleshot, I know you're busy out there solving real crimes so please don't mistake this for thinly-veiled slagging [which it is!])
Anyways, if your wheels have been recently stolen you might want to spin by Kilshaws before they sell off your bike at a bargain-basement price.
