Hi,

So wondering if this club is for me. Is it for serious riders, racers will I struggle to keep up? I'm getting back into riding, loving it but would like some good people to ride with. I was going to join the Astana club but they were busy over in France!!

Is there a listing of all the weekly rides?

Cheers,

Chris.

Chris,

Do you have a road bike? Do you like coffee? Answer yes to both and you're probably good to go. Other minor issues: 5:30 am alarm and an Easter bunny-like kit.

We ride at 6 am on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday and at 7 am on Sunday. Meeting place during the week is at Richmond and Fort (someone else will write with the details about the covered parking lot - it's basically across the road from the Royal Jub. Hospital). Meeting place on Sunday is the Fairfield Starbucks.

I've been riding with TS for almost two years and it does keep getting faster, but we'll welcome you when you arrive wait for you if you fall behind (up until King George Tr. - after that we'll wait at the coffee shop). Best to sit/rest on the back for a ride or two; you'll know pretty quickly whether we're too fast or too slow. A new 'B' group has started on Tuesdays - I think the idea there is to provide a venue for getting poeple up to speed.

Some of us race, but it's all for fun or too justify the carbon fibre. If your bike is made of steel and has shifters on the down tube that's OK too. You won't be alone.
