If you have been thinking of trying track racing, 2014 is your year. If your kids may be future track racers, come on out. Since the Velodrome reopened, the ridership has grown (particularly in the youth categories), the quirky politics have been ironed out, the fleet of loaner/rental bikes has grown (lots of new bikes) and the sport has really turned into a fun, family friendly scene. The competition is as challenging as you wish. You can ride shoulder to shoulder with an Olympic medalist one day, and get beaten by a 13 year old the next. You really should give it a go!
