Hurricane, Friday the 13th

Mark Ford and I are catching the 10:30 ferry to Port Angeles on Friday morning and riding the Ridge one last time this year. I'll be out for the regular Friday ride, have coffee, go somewhere nice for breakfast, maybe Vista 18, then catch the boat.

Anyone else want to join in the fun? The weather is supposed to be 70 F and clear!

So there we were, two old men and a mountain! Paul went a few K past the gate. Mark and I pedaled on to the top. I made it to the top from the ferry in 1:55. It was hot!! Sunny, no wind, just elevation gain! I cycled back down and climbed up with Mark, another 500 m of vertical or so. A great day on the mountain.

Did you know that Barton also did Goldstream Heights (100+ kms, 1700+ metres of climbing) on Saturday? A true hard-man!

Thanks for the help and encouragement Barton. It sure was hot - I think I will take more than one bottle next time! You are a hard man Barton - Hurricane Ridge and Goldstream Heights on the same weekend.
