Pro-city Garage Sale
Anybody interested in sharing a table? I've got a pile of stuff I'd like to unload, but not enough to make a table on it's own worth it.
I've got an obnoxious helmet. It's green.

What brand of obnoxious is it?

bb you are overly critical of the DavidB
but I can see the resemblance to those remarks

Yes that's pretty funny, especially coming from someone sporting the new Farm Team costume, er, um...kit.norman marcy wrote:bb you are overly critical of the DavidB

Let's just be grateful Norm's swapped compulsive all-caps shouting for Smilies.

On the farm team kit
I have never worn it to a 3 shot ride. so I dont se what there is to comment on.
on the 3Shot kit of the present vintage I am waiting out the current drab phase and waiting for the pendulum to swing back to something a bit more visible and interesting
rolf - i hope this is not perceived a shouting

Re: Pro-city Garage Sale
Now you're shunning caps altogether. Impressive turnaround from times like this.
Poor DavidB just wants someone with whom to share his garage sale table. Instead we've utterly hijacked his thread. But at least the forum's got something going on. Sigh.

Re: Pro-city Garage Sale
So, I was wondering, is it better to put the toilet paper roll on so the paper comes over the top, or out the bottom?

Re: Pro-city Garage Sale
The answer to this is already well established in the relevant literature. To summarize: over the top is preferable EXCEPT in the case where it is accessible to a cat or small child prone to batting at the roll with their paws and emptying the entire thing out onto the floor before any intervention is possible.katew wrote:So, I was wondering, is it better to put the toilet paper roll on so the paper comes over the top, or out the bottom?
Re: Pro-city Garage Sale
I'd always found this logic compelling...
...until I got a cat. Now—after a lifetime of front-rolling—the back-roll is king in my house:
Wait, are you just trying to annoy your son?

Re: Pro-city Garage Sale
Ahem... back to the garage sale..
I have to be away this weekend, but I am in the market for a pair of size 42/43 mountain bike / cyclocross shoes, so I don't have to wear my 10-pound clogs any more... if anyone sees a decent pair for a reasonable price (>$40), scoop them up and I'll gladly pay you Tuesday (or Monday).
Also, as for Norm's costume...(they are actually very cool)... on a completely random side-note, at last night's cyclcross training ride, in the sign-on line-up, there were all five 3-shot jerseys, worn by:
Lister (original argyle);
me (original Retro [the best one so far[);
Eric Simonson (easter-egg blue [not to be worn on solo rides in the Okanagan or Prince George areas]);
Her Royal Highness the Princess Dylan (aptly named Race jersey); and
young gun Jay Lamoureaux (new drab brown and turquoise)...
No farm team kits, though... what's a matta, you guys chicken?! Or tractor?!
Serious about the shoes, though.
