I'm leaving Pareto at 5:30 and Mayfair Starbucks at 5:45. Lagoon, Rocky Point, Gillespie, Lindholm. Possibly Munns on the way home. Nothing too zippy. Fenders might be nice.

Come for the ride. Stay for the non sequiturs. :P

Brockmann! Where'd you go?

I was pleasantly surprised to find you at Francis King after doing the full Metchosin tour (never ridden to prison before.) But after our chat atop Munns, I assumed the plan was to descend to the west, take the customary right on Millstream Lake Rd. and head home along W. Saanich, Interurban etc.

A few minutes along Millstream Lake and I realized you weren't behind me. With visions of a crash or mechanical, I backtracked all the way back up to the top of Munns. No luck. (That's about the only circumstances under which I'll ever elect to ride both sides of Munns in succession.)

I figure you: (a) descended east, (b) turned left at Millstream Lake Rd., (c) forgot to disengage your cloaking device, (d) were abducted by aliens, or (e) are lying unconscious in the trees off the Munns descent.

Please let it not be (e).

Hey Rolf,

I descended Munns, but a woman passed me in a SUV, then stopped at the bottom and was trying to coral a couple of puppys. Avoiding her and the dogs at the corner, I missed the corner and was a 2 - 4 km’s along when I realized I had gone the wrong way. I backtracked on Millstream and didn’t see you, so turned around the other way on Millstream Road. After a few back and forths, with a dead Blackberry because I hadn’t charged it last night, I took a very circuitous route home, hoping I wasn’t abandoning you in a ditch some where. (100kms, 1000 metres vertical)

Thanks for the company for a while, though I must say I came along for the non-sequiturs, and well, there weren’t any?
