Peacock dodging

I think I may have inadvertently made avoiding a peacock more difficult Tuesday am. I was third or fourth wheel, and the front guy (tony?) called out about a peacock crossing just after the third cross walk (not in the cross walk either :) ), from right to left. Going left was my instinct because there was more room, but i think i spooked it back in front of others; it turned, then flew away i heard. Jay at least had to hit the gravel. Nobody hit it, but it could have been worse. Any thoughts? Maybe we should default to crossing behind them so at least they can run or fly in that direction?

We had to dodge one on the Farm Team ride this morning, too. I had visions of a collision that would have resulted in a glorious kaleidoscope of peacock feathers and the riotous colours of the new agrarian-influenced Farm Team kit. Fortunately it never happened.

FTR, the Farm Team Wednesday ride now averages just a hair below 30km/h
