Greetings and salutations. First post and hope it is in the right place. I just registered for the 100 km ride in Septembers Tour de Victoria. I would really like to get together with other riders to help prepare for this and to get to know some others. My details. Age 65. I ride on my own two or three times a week. Distances 30-50km at present. Live in South Oak Bay. I really want/need to learn how to ride in a group. Been riding for about 50 years and love it! Really prefer mornings. What do I do now? Thanks in advance for any help.

Sunday morning: Meet us at the Starbucks on Fairfield (across from the cemetery) at about 7am. That gives you time for a coffee and a chat. Most will show up at 7:25 am for the 7:30 departure. You can ride to Mattick's Farm and return with a few people, ride to Island view and return with a few, or complete the ride (about 65 km) and end up at a coffee shop somewhere in town. Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday it's a 6 am start from a different location. Look forward to meeting you,

Hello John. Thanks very much for the reply and the invite. Will have to set the alarm to make sure I can get to the meeting point on time for the coffee.
Looking forward to meeting you and to the ride. Thanks again

Thanks to all of the Sunday morning group for making my first group ride so very enjoyable. I have plenty more to learn but I did pick up a great deal of information and I feel much more comfortable about riding with others. Hope I did not slow y'all down too much. Thanks again.
