I am planning on a longish ride at B- pace this coming Saturday. The Penninsula with a few twists.
Starting at 7 AM from Discovery Coffee on Menzies. To Belleville St then along the water front and the usual Sunday route to Matticks then Left on Sayward around Elk Lake to W Saanich then to Royal Oak.
Left (North) on Lochside back to Matticks then usuall Sunday up and over Island View.
Onto the highway North to Sydney via Lochside.
Up to Landsend and around via Chalet back to W Saanich and the usual Penninsula route back along Wallace etc. Likely stop at the gas station on Birch and W Saanich for relief and refueling.
Possibly do a few hills along the way like maybe Willis, Hartland, Observatory.

I am looking to get in 120 K with a few hills along the way. This might take a while! 4:30 riding time. Back before Noon I hope!

That was a great ride this AM! 130 K at 29 K/Hr with one Observatory at the end. There was Kristin, Kate, Marcus, Dave S, Louise & Gerry (or is it Jerry?). The weather was perfect, a light breeze from the north so we had the breeze at our backs on the way south and we had Chris Fraser! He met up with us at the airport. He pulled us along from Wallace & Central Saanich to near the Observatory! Chris on the front, mostly gentle down slope, and a breeze at our backs!! Outstanding!
