Never sit next to Mark Ford. I find myself doing another distance ride being held by the BC Randonneurs on Saturday and encourage you to give it a whirl. This is a new route called the "CRD Challenge" starting 7:00 AM in the Kinsmen Park parking lot off Tillicum on the Gorge, then goes to Sooke via Humpback, to View Royal via Gillespie, to Metchosin via the Lagoon, to North Saanich via Munns and the Highlands, Sidney & Lochside, finishing off along the waterfront via Cadboro Bay. The route takes in a bit of the goose to avoid the Robert Cameron road race. Best part is it's only $15 to enter with a $10 annual membership fee.
