Joy of Life Festival

I've been telling a number of my cycling buddies about the fiddle weekend coming up. This weekend the annual "Joy of Life Festival" is happening featuring two concerts, (on Friday and Saturday) at the Metropolitan church on Quadra/Balmoral.

I may be a bit biased (because my daughter is in the BC Fiddle Orchestra) but the Friday concert is their official CD launch and is going to be a smoking good fiddle concert.
(If you're in doubt as to the calibre of these kids, just ask Barton, who, like me, is a groupie to the BC Fiddle Orchestra).

If you've got younger kids who might consider taking violin lessons bring them to this concert and show them how much incredible toe-tapping, high energy, sizzling good music can happen with fiddles.
(oh, and I forgot to say, I'm performing in it too, in a small bit-part where I pretend to play a guitar)

My family and I will be there Saturday. Unfortunately we could not make it Friday for the CD launch. This is great music and definitely showcases the joy the kids feel when they play.
