Lot of firsts for me today. First time wearing shoe covers (bright yellow), which I ripped during my first crash of 2012, which was my first crash wearing clip in shoes. First ride with the club in shitty winterish weather. First time I witness such an awesome save on Cordova Bay that totally should have been a wipeout...nice recovery man!!! (Who was that?) First time pulling some sketchy right hand passes (I will try not to do that again:) And first time I bailed on coffee at the end of a ride.
Thanks for comin out good people. It's nice to get together. I'm glad we all don't have to just ride around in the rain by ourselves. That would be silly

Re: Thanks for todays ride!!
Some of us rode around on our own in rain, wind, puddles, leaves, and mud. Wait, you may have missed out on axle-deep mud. But in my case, it was probably for the best that I was on my own, sans witnesses.
Took definitive soundings of the puddle flooding Viaduct Rd. It is absolutely deep enough to submerge a CX bike and its rider.
And got, like, totally lost in that turrible magic-mirror maze behind Western Speedway. I always come to grief in there, and even my endlessly optimistic thoughts that *this* time will be different are as dampened as the rest of me.
