Thanks to Alan for riding home to get the car so he could pick me up on the water front. I broke a spoke after coffee. While waiting I saw some pelicans! Apparently Brown Pelicans are not common in Victoria. Speaking of Alan, he and I turn 49 next week (racing age = 50 in 2013) and we'll celebrate at the Fernwood Inn on Thursday evening. If anyone is interested in an evening out, reply here - I might try to reserve the back room. Maybe others have birthdays soon too? Also, coffee conversation today turned to Christmas present ideas for 10 yr old boys and that ended up with a discussion about fishing. If anyone is interested in a Triple Shot children's fishing adventure let me know (here or in person). I think we're talking local lake for a few hours, not an ocean adventure, but who knows.

Hi Guys,
I just turned 49 as well. Does that mean I can moved to the 50's in Masters now? By the way, I had to change my account from just "Jimmy" to "Jimmy49". I got blocked out somehow..
I'll try and make it for Thursday but have to be after 7pm for me as I have spin class that night.
Cheers,
Jimmy

I'm in for a fishing trip. gofishbc.com is a great resource for recently stocked lakes. Lookout lake is a 15 minute drive from town, you can cast the entire lake and they just put 500 trout in.

I plan to go ( and i am not turning 49) Thursday at Fernwood Inn....and Jimmy is going to go (who is turning 49 and rode with us until September )

I would suggest that the organizers and birthday boys do another posting that is headed "Thursday, Nov 29 etc" instead of "Friday" ....... Should be a fun social night, regards, Paul C.
