Now if deer, racoons and peacocks aren't enough we've now got potentially large cats to deal with.

Early morning cougar sightings in Fairfield

Victoria Police received two calls of cougar sightings early this morning near Ross Bay cemetery.

Local schools were contacted and there have been no further reports of sightings, said Const. Mike Russell.

The cougar warning follows a reported sighting near the interection of Montreal Street and Simcoe Avenue in James Bay on Nov. 8.
