KEN PASKIN MEMORIAL 40Km
TIME TRIAL - COWICHAN VALLEY
(presented by Sidney Velo CC and the BC Masters Cycling Association)
SUNDAY AUGUST 12, 2012 - NOON START
NOTE: ALL RIDERS MUST BE 30YRS+ THIS YEAR. NEW RIDERS ARE WELCOME !
Sign on: Duncan Meadows Golf Course parking lot 6507 North Rd. Duncan (approx. 3Km from Hwy 1 and 18, from 11.- 11.45 a.m.
Start: 3.7Km from the golf club on the Cowichan Lake Rd (NOT Hwy 18) at the intersection with Payne Rd. W (second intersection of Payne Rd.) at noon
Distance: 40Km – 20Km out and back, rolling
Course: towards Lake Cowichan, turn left at Greendale Rd triangle and return on Cowichan Lake Rd. to finish opposite the start. (This is the same course as was used in last year’s Provincial Championships).
Race Fee: $10 for BCMCA members, $15 for non-members
ALL riders must have at least a Citizens Licence (obtained ONLY from Cycling BC) for insurance purposes. Sorry, no licence, no ride.
Refreshments and awards at the golf club afterwards
Awards are based on age standards. There are overall awards for the fastest men and women, as well as awards within each 5 yr age category e.g. 30-34, etc.
