Penticton fondo team and entry

Hello!
Two topics:
1) A buddy and I have signed up for the Axel Merx Gran Fondo (160km) and for kicks we signed up as a team, but neither of us are really cyclists so we don't really have any cycling friends that want to join. We need 5 people to sign up and we currently have a crew of two.. if anyone is interested in joining the "Sprocketeers" please drop me a note! I don't envision many training rides together (buddy and I have 2 kids each so we are ad hoc with riding schedule) so we would likely be a virtual team and maybe meet up for a post ride coffee debrief whenever the time presents itself.
As this is my first post, some introduction: I consider myself mainly a commuter that is trying to step it up a notch so I am not going to set the world on fire in the fondo (I have never ridden 160k in one day before and my normal average for 80-100km distances in lower Van Isle/Duncan is only between 27 and 31 km/h solo) so I am just looking not so much to compete as to complete
2) a guy from work that had registered for the 92k Penticton fondo got creamed by a motorcycle on a bike trail and broke his hand so he cannot ride. They tell him they won't refund or credit his entry for next year so if someone wants to take his place drop me a note and I'll put you in touch
