It was a very good interview. As I caught it partway through, I was thinking, who is that intelligent, and very sensible pro-bike advocate? Then I realized, oh, it's just our Lister who will see a lot of this week, hanging out around Bike-to-Work Week stations...

Thanks Eric, Alan. I'm not doing the BTWW contract this year. Too busy with Tripleshot. :)

If anyone missed the interview, and wants to catch it, it's available here: http://www.cbc.ca/video/news/audioplaye ... 2240074470

Great stuff, Lister! Important context.

Poor Ryder sounds so fatigued in the interview that followed you. I can't imagine the number of folks who want a "quick word" with him right now. I understand the shot below that I took on Sunday has been passed on to join the thousands of other good wishes in his overflowing in-box.

Thanks, Lister!

If you missed it, here's CBC's streaming version: http://www.cbc.ca/ontheisland/2012/05/2 ... ctiveness/

...and then, yesterday, John Horgan went and undid so much good work by so many people.

CBC broadcast his speech in the house, in which he congratulated Ryder on being marvelous and on being from Metchosin. (which is good.) And then he went on to note that the legacy velodrome in/near his riding is hardly used at all by the local cycling community, but one man, Ryder, certainly made good use of it.

I rent my garments and gnashed my teeth. I will be writing him with a gentle correction, but it might not hurt for the GVVA and/or reps of the many programs using the track to send him a love note as well.
