Neild Rd. Race Report
well what can I say it was a great day to ride a bike! 14 Tripleshotters met up and rode out to the field of battle. There at Neild Rd fame was won and fortunes were made.
Huge Kudos out to our own Dylan "Pooky" Reeves who demolished all the B's and half the A's to be one of a very select few who went under 9minutes. Bill was hard on his heels as well. Lots of Tripleshotters went undr 10' including first timer Chris Watt who didnt know we were off to a race! Another fresh faced racer was Anthony Yue who after being badgered into racing quickly regretted pre-riding the climb (but still managed to both keep smiling and kick my but!
Also lets not forget our Tripleshot ladies - personified today by Kim "dance on the pedals" Gard who set a furious pace to a first place finish.
Too many others rocked the mountain to mention but a final thanks out to the organizers who put on another great race and to Duane for doing results and taking spectacular photos that make me look like I am going TONS faster than I was - chapeau Duane!

Congratulations to Dylan and Kim and the whole crew! Glad to see that Anthony wasn't slowed down by last week's highside. And great photo.. think the rest of us pretend racers could be photoshopped in?
14 riders, eh? Could there have been some coercion / flattery / relentless teasing from Pete to generate that turnout?

Did somebody fix Chris Watts brake levers? They're the same height.Roland wrote:What a great looking team!

Or, (gasp of realization), is that a new bike Chris? How can you leave that lovely steel classic at home? Oh the treachery, rejecting the loyalty of your faithful steed.
(PS Just in case you don't know, Chris, you can fix bikes eh? You don't need to buy a new one when the old one gets dirty.)

Wait a second - You can clean bikes? How do you do that - more importantly, why would you do that when you can nip out and get a bright new bike when the old one is dirty
Congratulations to the Team showing up (and perhaps throwing up) at the Hill climb and defining the Club as a force to be considered (soom to be reckoned with!)

Psst Mike. When that Trek gets dir, uh, I mean worn out, you really should look at a Hampsten Strada Bianca bike. 60cm. With couplers and chorus. I hear they don't last long though, but I know where you can unload it when it does get um, worn out.
(Great idea John. Thanks)
