Volunteers needed for Monday evening Beginner Speedway race

Hi all
The first of our Beginner Series races is Monday evening, 630 at Western Speedway and we need some helpers. This is a great venue for beginners to learn pack racing. It's a manageable step up from group rides, so beginners can focus on the flow of racing in a pack. But no corners, traffic or road imperfections to worry about.
It's a good atmosphere too, with people excitedly discovering racing and that they can do more than they thought.
The jobs are:
•Registration (including selling one day cycling Bc licenses (which are credited for a citizen or higher level license if they get the bug) 530-630
•Race starter (create and announce the racing format, number of races, instruct the riding coaches, rules etc (I will probably do this)
•Lap card and bell ringer
•Results camera (need a decent digital camera with large enough view finder to see numbers, to shoot several frames of each finish (this race counts for c points in the VCL) Video works also.
•results recorders. People to manually record the finish along with the camera person
•I'm bringing a tent, lap cards, table, chairs and reg materials
•bunch coaches. Higher level riders are invited to ride to help create a steadying influence. They ride along as examples, but do not compete for places. Particularly helping newbies stay in the pack.
If you can help or have questions, PM, call or email me. Listerfarrar@telus.net or 250 882 5420
Thanks
