Interesting article Alan! Working in First Nations health, I have heard complaints that the generic drugs are what Health Canada First Nations and Inuit Health will cover, maybe that isn't a bad thing at all!
On the other hand, I thought strict rules were being put in place (at least I know in Alberta it was happening) that limits what drug companies can do to 'promote' their drugs, like limiting the big parties they hold in Banff for doctors..

Don't those two examples show you a bit about power and influence!
