It's going to be slightly damp but not too cold. Who wants to do a mellow-paced Land's End? No Sufferfest. 6 am Cook St. Bucky's?

I do. nothing over 145 heart rate for me tomorrow.

I'll confirm if I can make it in a bit.

I'm in for a ride, either at 6 from Cook's or at 7 from Disco as Barton suggested. I'll go where more people are heading.

Sylvan and Josh, do you mind leaving at 7 from Discovery on Menzies? Do the Penninsula?

mmm, sounds interesting. Is this really going to be a B or B- pace? I have done 65-75 km Sunday rides with the Farm Team, this would be 100km, right? If the Farm team isn't riding, are you up for having a new to this distance rider along?

I am in for 6 or 7 but would rather the 6:00 AM option because I need to be home by 10.

In for 6:00. Have to be home early so may only ride to Mattick's (or Mitchell's) - weather dependent

Glenowyn just took me on a "cyclocross" ride over Stewart freaking Mountain. Cyclocross. Right. Let's take the guy who has never ridden a cross bike and never ridden a mountain bike trail on some double black diamond mountain bike trails on a borrowed cross bike with no brakes. At one point I was up on my front wheel like a Russian circus bear looking for a place to crash. I didn't find one and just had to crash where I was. As of now I don't know if I'll be able to ride for a few days but maybe I'll be out. Cook St. at 6 am. It was actually a pretty epic ride and thanks to Glen for putting up with my novice lack of ability.

Peter, I'm in for one of the doubles, would be nice to get 180km+ in. Not sure if the Pro City ride is happening after, if it's not I'll do the Oak Bay.

thanks for the encouragement, but on further reflection (reading about 'hammerfest' and just thinking about the name and seeing who is going for the ride) I am going to take a pass.. perhaps in 2012! Jane, we are meeting at a more reasonable hour (8am) at St. Mathias Church on Richardson and Richmond to do a VERY tone down version of 'hammerfest". Join us if you like..not sure how many will be there... two at least :)

have a good ride and merry christmas to all...

Don't be afraid, you guys should come. I, for one, have no aspirations of going fast tomorrow. My training plan for the week even dictates that I don't, at any point go above my anaerobic threshold tomorrow. Just looking for lots of km's.
We'll keep it down to something everyone there can manage.

May join en route.

What time do you normally get to Matticks? Between 6:45 and 7:00?

I'm out. My thinking was perhaps overly ambitious with family over for the holidays :?

Boxing day? If its nice (meaning not horrible) I'm game to ride out do the TT and ride back. Even a Sunday ride that goes through Metchosin with the TT tossed in. If its bad weather a classic Sunday ride is pretty doable.
