Just wanted to say a huge thank you to Roland and Lister for the video and slideshows for last night.

Sorry that you were not able to make it Roland!

Thanks Sarah, but more importantly, a big thanks to you Sarah and Kim for organizing the party. If there was no audience, what's the point of a slide show?

And also with great thanks, but its with great regret to see you stepping off the executive. Sarah has contributed hugely in many ways: her international event management expertise and experience has really contributed to TS, in both events and in the management of the club. For eg, she knows stuff like insurance, volunteer needs, and creating attractive events, but also in the plain old hard word work like producing accurate minutes DURING meetings, and doing the follow up to make sure we have the meetings, and carry out the action items (all my delays are mine alone  .)

And Kim brought vital event organizing experience, as well as actually leading the masters series event, and being key to Nanaimo-Victoria and Victoria-Cowichan. And to a board with a surfeit of dreamers; thanks Kim for reminding us gently when we are in danger of over-committing.

Hope you both will ride more with us and come back soon.

Thank you all for all the work that went into the party, and in particular Kim and Sarah. It was a great time to reflect on what a superb club we have, and also it was an eye-opener to see just how much time people are volunteering. Some of the behind-the-scene efforts are really commendable, like Bill filing tax returns for the club, or Geoff pouring time into sponsorships, or all the time that Roland and Katie put into the website.

Hat's off to Peter, Lister, Geoff, and Bill for taking another term and for Jen, Dave S. and John D. for stepping up for next year's executive.
