Pumpkin Cross 2011

On Sunday, Adam, Glenowyn & I went to Pumpkin Cross in Maple Ridge.

I had a poor race however, I struggled with my new pedals on a course that had 5 dismounts per lap and made several silly mistakes, one that saw me going under the tape and other that ended with me tangled in the tape.

Adam had a strong ride and was on pace to win until his derailleur exploded with 300 meters to go, forcing him to run it in.Local Ride wrote: Glenowyn Carlson (Team Alliance) raced well to win the 45-minute Master Women’s competition, despite dropping her chain twice.
Wai-Ben Wong (Glotman Simpson) scored the win in the Cat 3/4 Men’s race after playing cat and mouse for most of the race with fellow podium-mates Adam de Vos (Oak Bay Bikes) and Maple Ridge’s Brett Wakefield (Local Ride Racing).
