Checked the results today. Adam finished in the peleton, 3 seconds back. He placed 65th.

Well done.

4 sec between 1 and 65 sounds like a crazy bunch finish with a small team that would be tough to get into position Very well done. Looking forward to hearing about it over coffee this winter @@@!!

I'm sure it was crazy, but the rule that gives everyone in the bunch the same time as the lead rider, as long as there is no gap of more than a second, makes it look closer than it probably was. So the back of the bunch may have been 5-10 or more seconds behind the lead rider. The aim of the rule is to avoid having riders sprint into the back of others trying for gains of seconds. And it also acknowledges the effect of drafting, IE that just cause you won the sprint, doesn't mean you were really seconds ahead of others.

Still wanna hear about it too. :)
