Thanks to Kim, Joe and all the volunteers for putting on an excellent race and ordering perfect weather. It was most enjoyable to ride in a jersey and bibs even with the hills. My race went pretty well although I could learn to bury myself and jump on a wheel more often. Still, I found one for a total of about a lap and a half which really helped me finish in 25 minutes less time than last year (27.6 km/hr v. 22.8 km/hr last year) when I raced after only a month of group riding. Shows what a year of group riding with Triple Shot can do for a new rider's fitness level. I could win next year if I just pick up another 25 minutes. Too bad that improvement isn't linear. At least my heart seems to be working regularly again.
