I volunteered at the time trial yesterday -- setup/breakdown and holding a Stop/Slow lollipop at Cook and Dallas to keep back the pedestrian hordes. It was the first TT I'd seen in person and it was awesome!
I've made a little video of the experience, featuring my mental soundtrack:

Apologies for: (1) the crappy point-and-shoot quality of the images, and (2) the super cheesy production. [(1) is the result of not wanting to wield my DSLR while directing traffic or riding a bike, and (2) is mostly the result of a serious and permanent character flaw.]
Sorry also that I was unable to whip out the camera for everyone (Carly/Josh, Karen, Katie, Glen, Jen, Dylan, FabianJohn etc.) Thanks to everyone who put in serious effort to train and bust a gut on the day. It was a whole lot of fun to see all the speed and suffering.

It's been kindly pointed out to me that in addition to the many flaws of my video, I failed to include any of the Tripleshot women -- especially galling since Tripleshot kicked ass and owned the Cat 4 Women's podium (yeah Carly, Glen and Jen!)
Please understand I was holding a Stop sign, dealing with curious and sometimes pissed-off pedestrians, and sometimes radioing with the start/finish folks for a solid 90 minutes when the race was going by. My camera is also very crappy (7 years old) and doesn't always turn on right away. It was just a matter of luck when I was able to free a hand and actually film a rider go by.
I did get some shots of other riders (incl. Katie, Josh/Carly), but the footage I got was either so shaky, or off-target (I shot everything from the hip, i.e. no viewfinder) it was unusable for the compilation.
So please don't think I have some prejudice against female riders in general or any less respect for you all as athletes! I was super-impressed by your performance and shouted just as loud as you went by.
