To be clear between the different ride names and avoid confusion.......
The 'Saturday Sufferfest' is a full drop race training ride and is on tomorrow. The official sufferfest route is the waterfront, lands end, west saanich to brentwood bay, wallace, willis pt rd, millstream lake/ross durrance, over munns, prospect lake rd to west saanich, interurban to the finish line.
http://www.bikely.com/maps/bike-path/Sa ... fest507048
103.5km from starbucks to the finish line
The sufferfest does not stop for anything but mechanicals. There is a neutral feed zone in sidney. There will be attacks and you could find yourself all alone. The pace will vary depending on exactly who shows up, but is typically around a cat3 type race pace.
It rolls from cook st starbucks at 6:00AM.
The 'Killer B' ride also leaves from cook st starbucks at 6:00AM. It follows the same route as the sufferfest out to sidney, but stops to regroup at Matticks Farm, and at the parking lot just before Sidney. The route from Sidney on will vary from week to week.
Anybody is welcome to try out the Sufferfest, and wait to regroup with the Killer B ride if they find the pace is too much for them.

excuse me for mixing the names.........
How about - who wants to do the same ride we did the last three Saturdays? 6:00a.m. start form Cook St., water route till Sydney (non-stop) and the neutral feed zone, land's end to west saanich, wallace then interurban....
you are allowed to stop for dropped riders if you want.........or deviate from the route if you want........

What do you call it when you start out with the group at 6 from Cook St. Bucks, get dropped by the Yacht Club and then ride solo until you get bored and head for home around 8?
'Cuz that's what I'll be doing if anyone else feels like, um, challenging themselves a little less.

Don't mean to get too hung up on semantics with you Dave. It's just that the sat rides are listed on the website as official tripleshot club rides.
It causes a lot of confusion if the ride changes week to week, or if a bunch of people regularly show up at the Starbucks at 6:00AM with plans to do something else altogther different, especially change the route.
The important points are:
1) A & B groups leave starbucks together. The A ride, for the summer, is the route shown above.
2) Anyone who is dropped from the A group can wait at Matticks or at Sidney to ride with the B's if they choose. If anybody from the A group wants to continue plugging along without stopping, that's up to them.
After that, it's coffee at fantastico.
What you are talking about is doing most of the A ride, and peeling off early.

Hmm... now I'm thinking I might ride to Duncan instead, really slowly. But there's this darn hill in the way. What's a duffer to do?

not intending to overreact josh, the addition of millstream/munns(sp)/durrance wasn't on the website and I haven't yet done that part - probably dropped this year before I got that far....

The A route does get changed periodically, and shortened in the winter. Last summer we were ending with observatory repeats, and were also doing full lands end loops, including chalet rd and madrona dr.
I'll give a little blurb to Roland to add to the website.

All the rides on the website need updating. The C ride is more like what the B used to be, and B is is like the old A, etc. Do we still have A+?
