Port Alberni XC

Glen & I went up to Port Alberni yesterday for the 6th race of the Island Cup Series. Katie sat the race out with a sore back. Amazingly it wasn't raining and the trails were somewhat dry. The ASS (Alberni Single Speeders [Who are very proud of themselves with coming up with that acronym]) put on a good race, unfortunately there was a small crowd, most likely due to Mother's Day. The local press was there to interview the legendary Glenowyn T Carlson.
The race was long (32.09 km / 2:35:17 for me) with a decent amount of climbing (875m) on technical rooty trails. I had a strong race, not sure how I finished as I haven't seen results yet.
