Volunteer Marshalls for TT's

From Ian Birch at Sidney Velo:
we will have many spots to fill from June 14 to August 30. We have marshals up to June 7. Time trials are weekly and start at 7 p.m. but marshals should be at the start at 6.45 Specifically we need one marshal at the corner of Lochside/Mt. Newton and one marshal at Pat Bay/McTavish. Marshals would be there to observe only and note any infractions by riders. If there was an incident on a corner they should have a cell phone to contact the First Aid attendant at the the start or to phone for an ambulance. They will not be allowed to control traffic. Marshals can advise riders of a dangerous situation although the onus is on the rider to ride safely. Marshals would be automatically covered by our insurance through Cycling BC.
Our club has been holding these TTs for 30+ years, our ranks are getting thinner and older(including me) so it is more difficult to get help and we want to continue this tradition.
So.... TSC.... can we help out?
