There are times when only a procedure will do

Well, it's been about 14 months since I posted a cheery "see you in March or April" when the dreaded patellafemoral syndrome struck. The knees had other ideas, and so after a year of navigating physio, MRIs, and cancellation lists I got my first real procedure: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mlQuS8HUqMU . Sent both knees into the shop for an overhaul by Dr. Nelson. Slick process, kind of like Disneyland: when you wake up the doc says thanks for coming, you've been a great audience, and gives you a souvenir photo album of the insides of your knees.

Bottom line: after a month I'm cycling to work again, going to spin classes, and today took the "good bike" out for an hour. So far so good - so I'll say it again with a higher probability of following through: see you fine folks in April (or so)! :D

ps - awesome website revamp.

Hey Mike! Looking forward to seeing you out there again. Friday's we do a bit of an easier ride, a C group. A little slower (26 to 28 K/Hr) and a little shorter than the Bs. Hope to see you out soon!

Barton.

Mike, nice to have you back in the fold! Best wishes on a solid recovery trajectory. I have a movie for you to watch as you recover between road sessions. :) The version I have will play on your computer. Let me know where & when to bring you the disc.
