Anyone up for a Thursday peninsula ride?

Post by John D »

My work calendar is looking suspiciously empty tomorrow, so....

How about 7am or an early afternoon departure from the Fairfield Starbucks? Time permitting, I'd be in for doing 100km. Traditional Sunday route to Michell Farms, on through Sidney to Wain, Tatlow, West Saanich, etc.

Any takers?

JohnD and I are also considering a 1pm from Pure Vanilla ride - I am busy in the morning. So please write back if either time works for you.

Hmmm... I wonder if it's too late in life to be a prof.

I thought you'd previously told me, in terms of employer expectations, that you'd already lowered the bar as far as it could go when you joined the Province? :D

How long is the 1pm ride planned for? I have a 3:30pm meeting I have to be dialed-into, so I could ride from 1pm to 3pm or so. I'll just plan to meet you at 1pm at PV and wing it.. loop back home when I need to.

Hi Brad...

I had originally proposed 100km, but that was when I was thinking we'd be doing a morning start. I don't know how long we'll this afternoon, but I'm sure it will be at least a few hours. Feel free to join in and peel off whenever you need to. I'd appreciate at least one other wheel to help keep John T in sight.

okay, I will do just that. I'll get to PV a little early to enjoy an americano before rolling out.

Hope you guys enjoyed the rest of the ride. I made it back from Michells, but VERY slowly. In addition to the back spasms, I realized on the ride home that I had inadvertently skipped lunch, thereby causing a "semi bonk". The price I pay for playing hooky from work, I guess.
