That was fun. Thanks for the heads up Simon.
Wow, bike racing looks way better on a big screen than a little one eh? Felt like I was in the bunch. And Brad reminds us TSN is carying the tour this summer in HD. (OMG, does this mean my resolve against a new TV is wavering?)
Anyone wanna save me from myself? I'll bring crepes and champagne to whoever has one and will invite me over....

Great film. Aldag and Holm were just hilarious. Interesting to me how it changed my perspective on Cavendish - Sherwin put his "attitude" in perspective well. Watch Cervelo's "Beyond the Peloton" for the Hushoft perspective on the same race - really interesting.
One of my favourite lines was Jens Voigt talking about how he was unconscious for three minutes when he crashed and he lost 20 minutes of memory, but that's okay - it's 20 minutes he didn't need back.

"would you guys mind not talking, people are suffering here"
Best line of the movie

I actually think Beyond the Peloton was just as good as chasing legends. It's worth you're time to sit down and watch the whole series.

The theater was full - that was amazing. I liked it a lot, but something they didn't manage to do was to really show the steepness of the mountain slopes and the speed of the decents and sprints effectively. We were in there, like Lister said. That was fantastic. I think to get a good impression of speed and climbs, you need to get out of the peloton and show it from a kilometer or two away.
Or, maybe people who weren't three rows from the front felt that better than I did - how did it feel from your seat at the foot of the screen Peter
I agree with Jeremy, the "stop talking, show some respect, some of us are suffering" comment recorded from one of the riders on a climb the was fantastic. The excitment of the set up and the activation of the cross-wind peloton-splitting move by the whole Columbia Team was also fun to watch.
Thanks,
John
