Monday 6:00a.m. - uvic ring road

I'm planning on doing a few laps at uvic on Monday morning - cold or not. I'll stop by pareto at 6:00a.m. and head up at 6:05.

Gotta drive a friend to the airport for 5am...should be able to meet you guys on the Ring Road around 6:15ish.

Did a couple of laps at uvic, then was joined by Steve and John for a few more - a little chilly but no ice.

I'm still trying to figure out how we were riding into the wind for 3/4 of each lap.....

Same time next week.

No doubt a combination of the weather plus our machine-like pace-lining skills!

All in all, a fun way to recover from the Sunday ride and a good warm-up for Tuesday. However, as one who lives near UVic, I suggest that we just meet on the Ring Road outside the SUB at 6:00am instead of at Pareto.

The only downside was that there aren't many decent options for coffee near UVic at 7:00am (IMHO, Starbucks is not a "decent" option).

How are the bunnies on the ring road? Is this something we might want to return to for our Tuesday ride? double pace line 1/2 lap or full lap pulls at speed?

we didn't see any rabbits - uvic has cleared almost all of them out.

on this topic a couple of weeks ago, the concensus seemed to be to maintain the tuesday ride where it is and maybe add a monday at uvic...
