Another pretty quick ride this morning. Any stats Sylvan?

Fairly large group was able to stay together all the way Ross bay, before starting to get whittled down. Considering the pace, lots of strong riding going on by lots of people. Pretty cool to see.

The group got progressively smaller during the beacon laps as the pace slowly increased. On the last hill going off of Dallas I thought I'd go for the Adam move and jump hard there for the sprint and try to hold it. (hope you don't mind Adam, it's a good move). I thought I had a pretty good jump today, felt pretty strong, but Bob Cameron decided to chase hard, after getting boxed in when I first jumped. Well, that was that. He went by me like I was standing still somewhere around the parking lot. :? There was no hope for me to even jump on his wheel. I tried.

Age before beauty, hey? Must be the new "get buff" crossfit program Bob was telling me he's now on. You are looking good Bob, I gotta say......

You animals passed me as I was running up the hill on Gordon Head Road heading to McKinnon Gym at UVic. Josh was a little off the front and looked like he was dishing out some punishment.

Sounds as if I missed a good ride, but then again it was pretty nice to have the gym all to myself! I'm trying to not look like a cyclist. :P

The Power of Four!!!!

In the B ride today Lister organized us at the top of King George hill to do a breakaway tortoise and hare chase group ...Thanks to amazing riding by Brian and Mark, Dr Brian and I guess, me............ we stayed out front right until the end. Nobody caught us....not even our Olympian, Adam Creek!!!

great work guys...now if we can replicate that in a race sometime!!! cheers, Paul C.

We didn't catch you because André the Olympic Giant blew us all up with his "enthusiasm" along Ross Bay. By Beacon Hill, Jim, Norm, Adam and I found ourselves without aid in the chase. I was so spent from chasing Kreeky (and other earlier, unwise, long pulls that were beyond my endurance) I was completely useless until the third lap. We kept seeing you guys disappearing around the corner as we'd come past the flagpole.

I'm sure André could have chased you down and eaten you for breakfast, had he not had to temper himself for his fellow hounds. Fun stuff.
