Opens at 6:00 p.m. Closes a few minutes later. Anybody doing it? Interesting that it's $75 to register, including a $5 trail maintenance fee. These new Gran Fondos are $175+. I'm just a roadie but I tend to hold the Test of Metal in higher regard.

Looks like the system lets you register 4 people at once. I'd be careful with that. It's liable to sell out while you're tapping in four riders' data.

I did it last year, I have no plan to do it again this year, though I do plan to do it again sometime in the future. It sold out in about 20 minutes last year.

It's a very roadie friendly mountain bike race. There are only a few tricky spots, most of it is fast, buff single / double track or logging roads. The start with 800 riders racing down the highway is an unforgettable memory.

That said, my schedule is fairly full this year, I might do gearjammer instead.
