Tripleshot Cycling

Hi Everyone

Shawn was just telling me his commuter bike got stolen from his carport last night. I was just scrounging through my old parts to try to build up something to loan him to ride on for the rest of the winter.

I've got my old aluminum norco frame I used as my winter bike last year, and everything to build it up, with the exception of a back wheel (8 speed or higher), a saddle, 25.4mm bars, and brake calipers.

Anybody have any old parts lying around they could donate for the winter?

I have 25.4mm bars. 42 cm wide. With cheater levers if you want them.

I have v-brakes I could donate

I have the fiori sitting in my basement, unused. Just needs a new crank arm as the pedal threads are stripped.

I still have the back wheel Dave Spiers donated to the Brian E. frankenbike project. It's a new 8-9-10 hub, mavic open sport rim, and tire. I expect he would approve, but maybe ask Dave if it's ok first.

Also have some single pivot no-name calipers you can have.

Maybe some 26.4 bars if you can find a stem to fit. Maybe a 31.8 with shims?

I'll take the bars, Roland, and that back wheel, Lister (pending Daves OK).

The fiori still lives, huh? That would probably be even a more of a training advantage than the commuter with bricks on it was.

Actually, they might be 26.0mm. I can't tell the difference between 25.4mm and 26.0mm. The definitely aren't 31.6mm. The are BBB but I can't see a model number.

I have a few saddles to try if you would like. I am not sure of the models/makes but will check later.

Shawn is welcome to the wheel. I have a saddle and a skid of red house bricks, he can have as many as he wants.

Per my other post. I have two complete bikes he can choose from - a Specialized Sirrius or a Norco. Both in good shape but if somebody wants to do a tune up, they would be near new...
