Good ride with a dozen hearty adventurers. It was cold, but not too bad. JohnT wore a pair of disposable plastic serving gloves from Strawbucks to stay kind of warm and dominated proceedings with powerful efforts that bode well for successful racing endeavors come spring. Out-and-back route modification to avoid sketchy conditions up north led to secret squirrel route from Royal Oak to Interurban.

Very brave to venture out today ... missed you guys at fairfield ended up going to skidney was pretty chilly out there.....

Interesting symmetry in the elevation plot when the ride retraces its steps (we rode to the top of the island view hill and then back the way we came). Also, the climb from Queen Alexandria Hospital to Gordon Head is higher than the Island View climb. Thanks to John D. for the plastic gloves suggestions - as liners for wore out winter gloves, they worked well.
