Is anyone riding this Saturday morning? I imagine the ranks will be pretty depleted with the cross race on Sunday.

Why don't you borrow a cross bike and come race? Or put cross tires on your commuter? You'll kick ass.

You can use my bike and race intermediate, Shawn.

I think I'm going to give masters a go this time, maybe expert again.

I'm mostly out. I gotta do the timing for the Bear Mountain 10K - I might be in for the first part, 'til Royal Oak, if the time calculations work out, but no more than that. If nobody else is in, you could ride with me to the top of Bear Mountain, and maybe do a few repeats.

Snow is in the forecast for Saturday - it looks like a miss.

I missed today (Fri.), so I'll set my alarm for Sat. After all, when was the last time they got a forecast right?

After what happened on West Saanich a few weeks ago, you should probably have a 5-degree minimum limit for venturing outside. If the roads are rideable I'm in, but only 'til Blenkinsop/Royal Oak/Cordova Bay, then continuing to Bear Mountain.

Is anyone left?

I'm totally in barring snow. If snow - I possibly may crank out a long flat ride on the Goose with the cross bike (out past the Potholes).

Snow + Cross Bike + Goose = FUN!

If just rain - I'll be at the usual spot at the usual time.

No - I 'have the kids' this weekend.

But they're sleeping at my parents tonight, so I'm good for Sat morning only.

Next year make it your goal to race every category, including open women.

I tried to head out at 5:00 to do a waterfront pre-ride around to Cook, but got sketched out by all the snow, so I went home after riding about 100 metres. Bummer about Shawnigan getting canceled.

In honour of the Saturday Sufferfest Deb and I rode trainers for 3:15:00 staring at a brick wall while wearing new tripleshot gear. OK we watched Road to Roubaix for an hour, but the rest of the time was all bricks and mortar.

It's only been about 24 hours since the weather changed. Isn't a bit early for cabin fever?
