Victoria Cyclocross Double Header: Who is racing?

Only 6 TS jerseys at the last race. :( However, these races are in Victoria, so no excuses! We should have no problem getting 12 people out. I know Peter is racing since he promised me many months ago. I expect to see the usual crew plus a few new faces. Bring the family, these races are suitable for kids as young as 10. And if you aren't racing, please come out and cheer, I've got extra cowbells and a vuvuzela!

I've got a 19" mountain bike somebody can borrow if they want to give it a try. Anybody else got a bike to lend or need a bike to borrow?

I'm racing saturday for sure, won't be able to make it out Sunday, as Ella has a swim meet. I'm going to try to make it out early to drive some posts etc on Sat, but I'm not sure how this weekend is going to unfold family-wise, as my Dad is also in town.

I'll donate my cross bike to someone if they want to give it a try Sunday. I'm 6'0" tall.

I may be well enough to race Sunday. I can't make Saturday. I'm fighting a cold and it's dragging me down! Argghhh... cold season. I'll be out regardless Sunday, if only to watch.

I'm definitely in for both!

I have a 29er hardtail mountain bike that would be fine for these races if someone wants to borrow it (PEEETTEERRRR.......). It would be good for anyone around 6 ft and up.

And heck, you may have so much fun, you may even want to buy the bike off me after ;)

IN!

Here's a side bet for anyone in TripleShot who hasn't done a cross race before: beat me in the beginner race on Saturday and I'll provide a weekend (and age) appropriate bevvie.

Paul C - It's Halloween, you had better be racing in costume.

I'm in for both races.

Rainbows & Ponies are promised for Sunday!

And if you need more incentive, free coffee on Saturday for the early birds! 24L! Bring a travel mug. And PIE!

I've also got a mtb for those who are smaller than alce elegante...

Cheers, Jen

Both.

Oh, on Sunday, in the beginners race check out my son Logan, daughter Holly (12) and me in a team costume.

Roland: I know I came 3rd in my first beginners race, so to make you happy, I will move up to intermediate on Sat. Back to beginners on Sunday though because I have to ride with my kids to make the costume work.

Roland, I've decided subject myself to humiliation and a good ass kicking and race expert with you.

It won't be that humiliating with Craig Richey out of town...

Good Tripleshot turnout yesterday, 11. (12 if we can count Andrea, she wore her Dirty Girlz jersey). Every category represented, 4 top 10 placings. Gavin had the best showing of the day in 5th. Michael showed of his pro-style cheering.

Tripleshot was the best represented club of the day with 11, followed by Pro city with 10 and OBB with 5. (Well, technically OBB had 12 if you count OBB, OBB Westshore, OBB Victoria and OBB Everti together, but we just won't do that)

Hope to see another good turnout today (in costume), weather looks decent.

Alex and Margot are coming, not sure about Callum and Andrew, still got phone calls to make this am. Only there for beginner, then off to dirt jump.

All four Oak Bay students are coming. But Andrew has a single speed dirt jumper bike. Anyone interested in loaning a cross bike for the beginner race? He's about 5"10". Good bikehandling skills, but he could use gears.

I would need to meet you out there, as the car and rack are full. My cell is 882-5420 if you can meet us out there. Meeting at the school at 10, so leaving home now.

Looks like Dylan gets the prize in the masters race for fastest tripleshotter of the day at 6:23 average time per lap for 7 laps. Nicely done.
