Thanks Adam. Yes I saw that and spoke to Norm. It's the pure racing frame Kona does; no eyelets for fenders. Also, I'm hoping for something cheaper until I know Liam is as hooked as you are.

Thanks Roland. I saw that too. It would be perfect if it was the 56. The top tube is 55.4, and his current bike is 54.5, and is getting too small. And he hasn't finished growing. I know you're not supposed to force your kid into bigger things to make them last, but the number of not-worn-out-but-too-small shoes we get rid of every year makes me twitch, and calculate painfully how they've added up to two new bikes in the last ten years....

On the other hand, cross season might be over before I find the right deal...

Bump. 'Still looking for a 56 for this weekend's final cross on the rock race. I have the whole family agreeing to enter, but still need a bike for Liam and don't want to borrow again. Somebody must be ready to upgrade!

Not that you'd get it by the weekend, but Nashbar has their alu cross frames on 57% off... that's $99 USD for the frame. Has braze-ons.
