Hammer/Cross Fest Saturday, October 8

Post by dreeves »

Is anyone interested? I would prefer to do the cross loop, but if there are no takers, I will join the regular road ride.

Okay, are you guys just toying with my fragile mental state? Hammer/Cross Fest "Saturday October 8" - Perhaps Saturday October 9th? Hey, why don't we plan a race for MowednethuFriday February 30th next year - it can be a Cross ITT (teams of 4)

I'm talking about our regular Saturday morning ride. The CX race in Nanaimo is on Monday, Oct. 11. It's okay Mike. It's hard for you because your so 'special'.

PS. I think you mean TTT, Team Time Trial. Or was that ITT, Idiots Time Trial?

Never mind, same thing.

We're surfing in the rain in Tofino. Not sure which will be wetter. But I think you will be muddier.

I'm in - but would have to be home for 9 as usual

Russel, Dawn, Jen and I did the loop last week starting at 6 and made it home in time (barely).

Spend the first hour in the dark - which was a tonne of fun! But good strong lights are a must - definitely no half watt bar mounts for riding a cross bike on single-track in the dark!

Thoughts on the early start? Did I mention how much fun it was in the dark?

Gav,

I'm good with the early start. I should be home by 9 as well. It could just be you and I. I feel safe with the Moose in the woods...

Awesome, see you tomorrow!

Oh ya, and we usually meet at the Starbucks on Douglas across from Mayfair for the cross ride. Hope that's good for you.

Can't wait!

Rain or dark, I'm going to do the waterfront Hammerfest/Killer B route from Cook St. at 6 but only to Mattick's.
